Payout reconciliation

Zomato and Swiggy payout audit and reconciliation

A payout audit compares what Zomato and Swiggy credited to you with what your orders say you were owed. AETR reconciles payouts against order-level data, verifies commission rates and looks for deduction patterns and timing problems that eat into margin. It suits owners who have never checked payouts against orders, and takes 5–7 business days after payout data is provided.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What data do I need to share for a payout audit?

Two things: the payout statements the platform sends you, plus an export of your order-level data covering the same dates. Having both lets us line up each order with the money that was actually settled for it. If we also need to look at your dashboards, read access is enough; we never need permission to change your listings or campaigns.

How long will the payout reconciliation take?

5–7 business days, counted from when you provide the payout data. Before that, a short scoping call fixes the period to be covered and the quote. At the end you receive a reconciliation summary with any discrepancies flagged, and a recommended process so the checking carries on after the audit is over.

What if you find nothing wrong with our payouts?

That is still a useful answer. A clean reconciliation confirms that the way your payouts are currently handled and checked is sound, and you have evidence of it rather than an assumption. You also still receive the recommended process for ongoing reconciliation, so every future statement can be checked the same way after the audit ends.

What kind of errors does a payout audit look for?

Mainly three: commission charged at the wrong rate, deductions with no clear explanation, and problems with when payouts arrive. We set the platform's statement beside your own record of orders and go through commission, GST, platform fees and any charges for ads or discounts, to trace where a gap between reported revenue and the money in your bank comes from.

My orders look fine but the money doesn't add up. Is this the right audit?

Yes, that is the situation it is designed for. When order numbers look healthy but revenue does not follow, the first thing to check is whether every order is actually being paid for, and at the right rate. The payout audit goes through commission, deductions and the timing of each payout, line by line, against your own order data.

How much does a payout audit cost?

It has no fixed published price. The audit is quoted per engagement based on your order volume, since more orders means more lines to reconcile, and the quote is confirmed on a scoping call. You know the cost and the period being covered before you share a single statement with us.

Do you guarantee we will recover money?

No. The audit tells you whether there are discrepancies and where they sit, with each one flagged in the summary. Whether any amount can be recovered depends on what is found and on how the platform responds when you raise it, so no amount is promised upfront. A clean result is also a possible outcome.
